Novartis announcement
(March 2009)
On March 20th 2009, Novartis announced that
Dionex has been recognized as a Global Preferred Vendor for
all liquid chromatography instrumentation and software products.
This came after extensive testing performed by the Novartis
Technical Operations (TechOps) group, with the resultant recommendations
being applicable to all Novartis divisions and affiliates
worldwide.
This accolade closely follows Novartis’
decision to roll out the Dionex Chromeleon® Chromatography
Data System software throughout all its global Technical Research
and
Development (TRD) facilities.
Dionex has also been growing from strength
to strength in the South Africa HPLC market, where Anatech
Instruments is the sole distributor. Staying with international
trends, Fine Chemicals Corporation (FCC) have recently benefitted
from the purchase of the Dionex Chromeleon® Chromatography
Data System software. With the introduction of this new software
FCC further enhances its compliance with the United States
FDA regulations, and benefits from increased productivity.

Anatech Seminar
(February 2009)
Anatech Instruments recently hosted a seminar
series on the PECOD real time COD analysers. Historically,
COD analyses have been a time consuming, and often hazardous
analysis. Reagents include hot chromic acid and mercury, which
are difficult to dispose of. Other disadvantages have been
the 2-3 hour analysis time.
PECOD offers a brand new technology. COD
results are achieved within minutes using non-toxic chemicals.
No heat or fume cupboards are required. Customers were astounded
at the speed, accuracy and ease of use of the PECOD system.
A number of demonstrations have already been organized at
customer sites.
In addition the system is available for
lab, portable or on-line applications.
